6 Self-Catering Cottages In Rural Northumberland
If you want your stay in Northumberland to be both independent but with hotel facilities on tap, we have just the thing. Six self-catering properties, created in 2021 by rebuilding the old coach house and stables (part-funded by the European Agricultural Fund), nestle in the grounds of the hotel. They offer a lovely, modern space of your own but are only a few steps from our bar, restaurant and beautiful garden. All our self-catering properties are dog friendly too.
Choose from the single floor, two-bedroom Cheviot designed for wheelchair access, to the two-floor, two-bedroom Yeavering, Humbleton, Hethpool and Garden House or the quirky single bedroom, en-suite Linhope with a spiral staircase to the boudoir.
Cheviot
This contemporary cottage is all on the ground floor, with 2 bright and airy bedrooms, 1 with a king-size bed, 1 with twin beds plus a family bathroom. It has a comfortable open plan living/dining room, plus a shiny new kitchen with all the equipment you’ll need to make your stay easy and relaxed. With French doors out to a Mediterranean-style garden, you can also drift out to enjoy the sun whenever you like.

This stylish cottage is on 2 floors, with 2 bright and airy bedrooms, 1 with a super king-size bed, 1 with twin beds, both with Smart TVs, plus a family bathroom with bath and shower. It has a comfortable living room with luxurious leather sofas, plus a contemporary kitchen with all the equipment you’ll need for a relaxed stay. There’s a lovely patio outside for enjoying the sun, or you can join the other guests in the beautiful hotel garden.

This semi-detached property has a lovely feel of home. Perfect for families, it has 2 double bedrooms, and we can put a single bed in the big double bedroom if you need it. It also boasts a lovely comfortable living room with patio doors onto the private garden, and a kitchen-diner so you can chat with your fellow guests or family as you rustle up dinner. The Garden House is next to the hotel, and you are welcome to come into our beautiful garden where there are swings for the kids to play on.
